Dario D’Angelo comes from a long line of passionate agriculturalists and dedicated himself to viticulture at a very early age. In a wine region steeped in ancient traditions, Dario D’Angelo’s stolid commitment to and love of wine-making have helped him deepen his expertise and hone his entrepreneurial savvy making him, in a short period of time, a true leader in his field.

Today, The Dario D’Angelo Winery is the largest privately owned winery in Abruzzo and is known for its vast, well-manicured, sun-drenched vineyards.;

Our main office, located in the heart of the winery, is equipped with the state-of the-art technology necessary to facilitate all our consumer requests. ;





We currently export a variety of distinctive products to nineteen countries worldwide with a strong client base in the US, Japan, and throughout Europe and Asia, ecc.


Although still a relatively young winery (we are only three generations old), we hold fast to tradition. Our continued progress is due to our technologically advanced facilities and our uncompromising customer service: Our mandate is QUALITY.

In 2000, our winery received the most prestigious of oenological awards:
the DOUBLE GOLD at the DOUBLE GOLD S. FRANCISCO WINE COMPETITION for the best Italian red wine overall and the best red wine among all competitors.


Further testament to our success are the numerous international awards and acknowledgments we have earned over the years: N.J. U.S.A.- Italian Superstar Award 1988 / Cangrande Vinitaly Verona 1991/ Gold Medal from the Challenge du Vin-France 2002/ Three Gold Medals at Intervin-Toronto, Canada / Silver Medal-Germany at the Mundus Vini Internationale Weinakademie 2001/ Silver Medal-England/ “Gran Merito” Award at the Mostra Nazionale Vini- Pramaggiore, Venice.



Our most recent renovations have made way for even more technologically advanced equipment allowing us to use the most advanced procedures for must filtration, cold maceration for both red and white grapes, and controlled fermentation. These state-of-the-art procedures help add richness and complexity to our wines, rendering each product one of distinction and singularity.
